  Shoes - when to replace:

How often does my toddler need new shoes?

On average, every three to four months, however during growth spurts more often. Check monthly and replace when there's less than a half a thumb toe space.

And note: Hard to resist the saving, but shoes should not be passed on from one child to another. Even if they appear still to be in good condition, the shoe inner moulding would have taken the shape of the original toddler's foot. Exceptions are of course if the shoes have not been worn often, e.g. dress shoes.
