Bottle Feeding – Combining with breast feeding :

I just find breastfeeding so exhausting. Would it be ok to combine it with bottle feeds to give me a break?

For many women a combination of breast and bottle feeding can be worked out to ensure that they have the best of both worlds. Be aware that once a baby has drunk from a bottle, baby may be reluctant to take the breast again since breast feeding is much harder work. However a good combination can be achieved, so that you are giving the baby some breast milk to improve immunity and all the other advantages of the breast, while at the same time enjoying the benefits of being able to have a little more freedom than a breastfeeding mom.

As usual its important to figure out what you are comfortable with. You will get LOTS of advice, so you need to sift through it till you find a working model uniquely yours!
